We always find P&O have the best prices, though might be worth looking at myferrylink. They emailed me today offering cheap crossings for me car.

Try DFDS. You can go Dover to Calais or Dover to Dunkirk, usually a bit cheaper.
Mid week, unpopular time ferry usually cheapest.

And the a DFDS ferries are really comfortable and you can buy a decent cup of tea.

Definitely the Eurotunnel, quick, easy and probably the cheapest too.

DFDS often the cheapest, but IMHO the tunnel is the best, quickest and most convenient

Until this year, I'd recently normally gone DFDS for price reasons (their ferries are very respectable also). However, I've booked a couple of trips for August and September and myferrylink absolutely walloped them on price and flexibility. I upgraded to fully flexible and was still £50 better off per return. I can't use tunnel due to LPG...

Well, our crossing last Sunday was efficient and straightforward. Fairly quick at each end (possibly helped by being first in the queue!).

The online booking system was the easiest yet and the price very good (£56.25). We have just booked the return for early September and that only cost £43.75!

These were standard prices with no forward booking on the first trip so I am very happy.

Oh, this was for 6m van and 2 adults.

Hope this helps :)

I've got to go over to UK in early September - booked with LD/DFDS yesterday, Dieppe/Newhaven, for £137 minus 20% oldfart discount. Actually booked 2 separate singles which worked out £30 cheaper than a return.
