For those of you that think the Crit‘air scheme doesn’t affect you and travel through Rouen, you might want to read the following.

The anti-pollution scheme in place in many large cities is to be extended to 10 more areas by the end of 2020. Stickers are already required to be displayed by any vehicles entering Paris, Rennes, Grenoble, Lyon, Strasbourg, Annecy & Lyon. By the end of this year they will also be required in Clermont Ferrand, Marseille, Aix en Provence, St Etienne, Reims, Toulon & Rouen.

There are many Green Zones in France, but the only one that affects our 2004 Inca, is central Paris, so I doubt that the others that will be added would affect others with older vehicles.

When travelling I keep an eye on the conditions and whether or not access is allowed by the Green-Zones app, just in case conditions change.

Having an Air Quality Certificate affixed is mandatory, even for vehicles and purposes that are exempt from the restrictions applicable in restricted traffic zones or introduced on a temporary basis.

how it will be enforced is a different matter, but for less than a fiver is it worth NOT getting one? I have them on the car and motorhome as we dont always take the motorhome over when we go to our mobile home via Rouen !

We have the stickers too. Green zones are being expanded all the time and whole departments ( not just city centres) could be subject to restrictions for certain Crit’air stickers.

do you need one for a mororbike too?

its only about 4 euros and easy to apply for and lasts the vehicle life so for peace of mind why would you not get one same with the German one although not sure if that is life of vehicle or a yearly cost
