I've seen a lot of circuit diagrams on the net, similar to the one below recently.

Does anyone know how they are created? What software is best? How does one access the library of images?

Viseo as well and what's wrong with slide rules? At least the battery lasts.(I had a tubular one, which I was allowed to use at school)

My grand-daughter has just graduated with a degree in Aero-space Engineering and is just starting her Masters in Materials.

I showed her the slide rule I had used and she was fascinated by the degree of accuracy achieved and the fact that, for some calculations, it was faster than her engineering calculator. She had never used one before and didn’t remember seeing one.

My first job after I graduated was working in the Concorde structural design office. Everyone used a slide rule but we had one large, mains operated calculator, that had its own desk. My (new) wife bought me a Sinclair Scientific calculator. It came as a kit, and all components had to be soldered to the PCB. It cost her £25 (in 1974), and for a while I checked the results on my slide rule because I didn't trust it! :ROFLMAO:

I've got various programs for producing schematic diagrams, but I was wondering where the images come from?

They mostly speak of LT spice on the forums. I can't get on with any of them though. By the time you've pissed about creating the virtual circuit you could have made it on veroboard 🙄😁

Easy to knock together in the free version of NanoCAD by copying images from the manufacturer's website.
