About 5 miles west of Salisbury On the A36 is the hillside lorry cafe .

cracking low cost breakfast , loads of tarmac parking and some of the best bacon I’ve ever had.

Good pit stop on your travels

Is that the road out of Salisbury towards Deptford etc?

Of distant Memory, there was a Motorhome "dealer" along there somewhere in the 80`s / early 90`s I am sure. Was a route I occasionally had to use from Longleat House to get back on the A303, If my next appointment was in that area, or the Wilton Carpet Factory. Then run back to Yeovil on the A30.

Don’t recall any sales sites around there; Webb’s Motorhomes used to be in Warminster, “The Motorhome Showroom” is there now, think it’s on the old Webb’s site.

I think Webbs moved from Codford to Warminster but it was a good few years back.

There's an LPG pump there (Hillside Cafe), just to the left of the cafe. Flogas, think you have to have an account, but worth getting one coz it costs almost nowt, you get a key, and they've got quite a few stations. There's one in Glastonbury, too. It may be worth asking if at the cafe if you can pay them if you don't want an account, I used to do that at Glasto.

Of course the thing about a Flogas account with key is you can use it anytime of day. If you can't get the pistol out, yank it harder. Oh dear, what have I said!

There is Somerset Motor homes used dealer, that I pass next to a Jet Garage on the A358, its the road that links the A303 at The Ilminster By Pass Roundabout to The M5 at Tuanton. Its nearer the M5 end than the A303.
I will be going back down there soon, I think I saw an LPG pump down that way also.

I am so pleased I found that link road, as before I used to go all the way down the A 303 to Exeter, what a horrible twisty, snarled up piece of road that is.

It’s actually more like 15 miles past Salisbury, between Codford and Heytesbury always a lot of customers stoped there???

Anyway , they sell very good grub at very good prices ;-)
