I was washing the van yesterday and noticed the black graphic above the windscreen was cracking. Looks like I will need to do something about it in the not too distant.
How easy are these graphics to remove?
Thanks

had exactly that problem on our 2012 adria about 18 months ago.

it took me a couple of days carefully with a hair drier and a plastic blade to remove it. the used meths to remove the remains of adhesive.

dont get the meths on the main Adria logo, the logo dont like it.

after cleaning ours off i left it white.

PS. i just realised you have a PVC so yours is attached to painted metal as opposed to the gell coat of the GRP section of overcab.

Does that make it more difficult?

If it's anything like the decals we had on a Globecar Famiyscout PVC they are are s*d to remove! Hubby had to remove some of the narrow ones on ours as they had shrunk which took him an age but he left it to the dealer to do the larger ones, I know it took them a long time to get them off and clean it up.

If you can leave it for when you have a VERY hot day with the decal facing the sun, then try removing it then when the adhesive is 'softer' just be careful not to burn yourself on the hot metal bodywork as you'll be able to fry and egg on it ... and any parts of your anatomy that touch it!:LOL:

Not sure if they are like the decals we have on the hire fleet but we use a wall paper steamer

I would assume it’s due to the heat. Being dark they get silly hot in the sun. Mine certainly does.

Hi Howard, it may make it easier as Minxy Girl has said above on a sunny day the body work will get real hot and that is the time to do it. avoid anything that will scratch or bubble your paint. thats why i said hair dryer rather than heat gun.

PS: and i had some plastic scrapers off amazon u will need more than one as they will blunt quickly and they need to have a keen but not cutting edge to slowly lift the decal.

the biggest problem is that when they are crazzed you cannot get a good run at it and use the ends of the decal as leverage, its just small runs.....

dozens of the "THINGS"!

I purposely keep old debit and credit cards to use as scrapers for this sort of thing. :giggle:

More than toes wet now!
Wonder if it would give an acceptable finish and easier just to put another decal \ vinyl over the existing one?

I enquired about that.
They said the cracks would show through as it's wafer thin and follows the surface underneath exactly

Mines not cracked, but I do like the idea of removing it as it get so hot, it can only make the inside hotter.

Interesting as my 2009 Adria (A class) has a similar decal which has faded to a greyish colour & I can't get up high enough to see if there's any cracks. The red gel 'A' has lost all the colour as well.

Are you sure it’s a decal? Or painted on? That’s what I’m not sure of as mine has also discoloured a bit and is now a mat finish.

I'm a newbie
Given the potential risks for something so trivial I'd just leave it , there's one member on crutches with a shattered ankle, we don't need another because if they come in three's I might be next :D
