We are currently parked up at a campsite in sitges after discovering a crack has occurred in the windscreen, its in the middle top and over 12 inches long. I have sent an email to our insurers (nfu Stokesley) to await there advise.

Also our parking brake has a warning light

and the cab aircon has stopped blowing cold. The first iveco dealer has sent back an email shut till September now awaiting info from another one, if I get no joy I will contact iveco uk and see what they suggest as its still under warranty.
I may now start drinking 😝😝.

At least you are in Rioja country, it could have been Country Manor territory, soon be mended fingers crossed,

Not your day is it.
With your van very unlikely to get a screen quickly and to make matters worse it's illegal to drive a vehicle with a cracked screen in Spain but the chances of it being noticed and getting stopped are minimal.
A few Funsters have been unable to get screens for A Class vans in Spain and have had to drive back with a cracked screen

Ouch.

Your van looks strangely narrow in that 3rd photo. For a minute i thought you had changed it

Well we are out of warranty for the brake and aircon.
Autoglass uk have confirmed my details now awaiting there spanish equivalent to contact me.
We can give them 2 weeks but I'm booked into the caravan salon in dusseldorf end of August.
We shall see. But the good news is its sunny and I'm having a beer in the shade 😎

If we have to drive back with a cracked screen it will be via Germany

If you were to travel home via the M factory Zentrale Autoglas are just over the motorway from the factory and would do the screen for you cheaper than UK I am sure.
That could be an option

Not nice. If you can get hands on some Gorilla clear repair tape you might be able to stop the crack progressing any further by running a strip the length of the crack?
I have some just need to borrow some step ladders

Hope you get everything sorted out. Have you started drinking yet ? :giggler:

You may need to place the tape on the inside as it will rip your wiper blades to shreds👍

It’s undoubtedly an laminated screen so there will be a sandwich of plastic of some sort between the inner and outer glass.

Personally I think the tape carefully applied to a clean screen and well rubbed down should have minimal effect on the wipers except water will be trapped by the edges on each sweep and might make for some streaks.

Possibly but those Morello wiper blades won’t be cheap 👍

Any news on the windscreen or have you just decided to sit it out, drink the wine, eat the tapas and chill?

That crack looks like its probably going to go all the way to the bottom of the windscreen when you go over an uneven section of road.

People do say that you can drill a small hole at the bottom of the crack to stop it spreading (presumably you fill it with sealer as a temporary measure).

We always carry a windscreen repair kit (about £15) and after getting a golf ball size hole in our Flair windscreen, we did a repair with the kit which lasted six months until we had it repaired at the factory (€5000 from memory).
At least NFU paid for it.

If it's a bonded in windscreen, then the windscreen can contribute to a large part of the structural integrity of the vehicle.
