I'm a newbie
I have found a crack in my roof at the over cab sleeping area, I must have hit a branch. I have repaired the roof with fibreglass but my problem is that I have had water ingress. There is a large damp stain on the inside over the bed. What can I do? Do I hope it dries or should I put a heater up near the area?

Thank you in anticipation.

Living the dream.
Heater and a dehumidifier, heat causes moisture, dehum gets rid of said moisture. Good luck I hope it's not too bad.:)

Fibre glass will be your problem its not flexible enough you will need to remove it & fill with something that has some flexibility in it.

Thank you for the replies. What do I use instead of fibre glass?

Not sure why it would not be strong enough but I am pretty confident the front over cab part of mine is made of glass fibre.

I did crack it and had it repaired but I have no idea of how they did it.

Suggested on here in the past that you grind the edges to make a "V" and fill it with sealant. Sicoflex or some such stuff? Perhaps if you do a search on here for sealants?

I have seen a couple of you tube videos regarding Gel Coat repairs to cracked panels. The Gel Coat product is available in various colours including the obvious White. As mentioned above, a V grove is ground along the crack line to facilitate good penetration of the filler coat. The kits are readily available from East Coast fibreglass supplies, £14.95

It depends of course what your roof is made of.

since 2006 ( I think ! )
Do you know what the roof is made of ?
If plastic, then repair with plastic ( fibreglass will not make a good repair on plastic at all )
As mentioned above, sikoflex is very good for such things, but there are several products available to repair all sorts of plastics, even HDP and he like..
Chances are the roof ( if plastic ) will either be polycarb or acrylic .. Both types repair really well
