Hi does anyone know a good place on the mainland seafront to watch the fireworks ? Be great if it's somewhere that you can get your head down for evening too. Thanks in advance

It is very difficult to find somewhere as it does get busy in the good spots.
One option, if you get there early, is Calshot activity centre, but overnighting is a problem. Same with Lepe, further round.
A place called Western Shore may work, but again staying over night is a problem.
Further away still is Stubbington, and Hill Head,
Google maps will give these locations.
It could be possible to watch the fireworks and then park overnight in a side street.
I used to anchor my boat just off Cowes and watch, but it did get very crowded and afterwards, when everyone left when it was dark, all hell broke loose.
