Covid test to fly back from Alicante

Could any of you Funsters tell me where can we get a PCR test done before we fly back for Christmas. At the present we are in Calpe and will stay there until the day of departure but we could go to Beni for them

You need to book a Day 2 LFT not PCR and insert the booking reference on the PLF. Cheapest I have seen so far is Simply Test Me @£12 which we plan to use for our December Xmas Market Trip.

I have failed miserably in trying to find a cheaper option.

You don't need a pre-departure test as long as you are fully vaccinated.
As others said, you do need to have pre-booked your day 2 LF test so you enter the code on your Passenger locator form. It's up to you whether you actually do that test, I haven't heard of a single person being checked up on.....

So far they are but obviously the situation changes daily, but personally I can't see travel restrictions coming back and we are quite happy to wear a mask. Will hopefully be triple jabbed by time we go.

You possibly can’t get it cheaper, but you can be helps knowing that the test can be used more than for one trip. You need to purchase a test, not take it. So we will get our money’s worth

Is that your thoughts or a fact? I must say I'm passed off we have to pay rather than use NHS ones as if I'm going to the football or a concert I can use NHS but not for travel, all are voluntary so I don't see the difference.

We’ve used our test kits numbers that are home on a few trips.
