Hi All,
We are off to Swindon next week and I'm looking for a short walk (4miles ish) to fill some time, woodland, countryside, that sort of thing, any recommendations?

Thames path, up or down stream from Cricklade.
Old Severn/Thames canal Latton to Cirencester.

I like the idea of an old canal walk, where would be the best joining point for this?

Cheers
What about Coate Water?

Uffington White Horse is not far away.
I've never been to the White Horse, could be one to check of my National Trust list! The kids would love it :)

It's 20 miles South of Swindon but I've stayed at the Barge Inn camp site at Honeystreet a few times with the m/h pre-Covid. It's a pub and as the name suggests it's literally beside the canal with a view of the White Horse. It's an 'interesting' pub and when I was there it was a magnet for crop circle fans.

Nearby West Kennet Long Barrow is interesting for a stroll, plus Avebury stone circle - a smaller version of Stonehenge.

Just a few miles away is The Bruce Arm pub and campsite which I've been meaning to try.
