We have just booked with the CCC for Countryfile Live at Blenheim Palace in August. We were a bit shocked to find out that the Club is charging £35 a night for a temporary site with no electric. Wonder who is making the profit there?

Yes - we've booked it because we love Countryfile but it seems like a lot for one of the clubs to charge.

I can't understand why people will pay these daft prices to park in a car park, same with the NEC shows ... there are going to be plenty of places to stay at campsites etc for a lot less than that I'm sure.

It's the convenience to walk to the show that appeals. it is a silly price though.

I can appreciate that but isn't there day parking anyway? o_O

Crikey! Saw this last year and would've loved to have gone but it's so expensive! Minimum 2 nights booking required, then entry to the show £30 (plus fee) per person. Then I thought, well at least you'll be able to spread the show visit over 2 days.....no....you'll have to pay extra entry fee (£45) to do that!
Last year I went to "Countryside Live" with the Yorkshire Vet at Harrogate Showground. Entry fee about £14, free parking, stayed at Boroughbridge C&CC site. Not as big a show but was there 10am to 5pm and didn't see everything.
