In September we will be taking the MH and dog via Brittany Ferries to Santander and intend to travel west along the coast.

Any recommendations for campsites and places not to miss? What sort of weather can we expect in the last 3 weeks of September? One guide book I've read makes it sound like non stop rain. Should we revise our plans and head South?

Grateful for any advice.

You've got an RV why have fixed plans just follow the sun. There is certainly no need to book sites just have a good guide and enjoy the trip.

 We usually return to Spain around the second weekend of September. It NEVER fails to rain when we get back to Spain.

BTW. It's not called GREEN COAST for nothing.

We took this ferry in december 19 [last one of the year for Brittany] and travelled along the coast. were lucky to have fanatastic sunny days around 19/20 - although the nights were very cold.

Lots of sites along the coast, but some seaside towns had very steep [impossible for an RV] approaches as the cliffs meet the sea. One we stayed at north of Ovieda was Camping Perlora, Candas. It was on top of a small headland and harbour. You could walk along the prom into a lovely little town, 10 mins. Only one of the receptionists spoke english.

Must see - Picas Europa.
