Over 30yrs and still learning
what did you have to do to go to 4k? mines got air suspension (rear) and I have just put new tyres on and went for 225's so would be interested to know if I have to do anything else

I have had air assist on the rear axle ( this works alongside the original suspension) and replaced the front springs. I was told my tyres had to be rated at 112 or above. The tyres I have are 225/75R 16CP 116Q
I could have gone for full air suspension at 7k approx if I had robbed lloyd's first

20 years (unless you count my dads VW which makes it 52 years with a few gaps!!)

Since 2015.......
This is the reason we changed A class. That was rated at 3850kg. It was just not feasible to spend £1000’s on trying to get 200 kg more payload.
So, I just cut Mrs B’s gin allowance and upgraded to .......

Now on a coachbuilt.
If we have to take more gin/shoes/handbags etc, I’ll buy a trailer ??
