I won't be attending. Price with electric is a rip off, to park in what could be quagmire.
You can walk around the food festival in 15 minutes, manly cheese stalls,
Chester is a nice city though.

@Jim Do you need us to post on here that we are attending? Quite a few of us have booked, getting the very cheap offer of £30 for 4 nights (no EHU). Book before end of Nov. to get the offer.
@Chocy boy it's going to be hot and sunny as it's a month later this year....and I love the manly cheese stalls!;)
Good cheese stalls in Chester market Wendy, and a lot cheaper.

That's a really helpful post John not, Easter is a lot later this year so they could have good weather, the electric is expensive because they have to hire generators in. The price for for 5 days over Easter is very reasonable if you don't have the electric and most these days can cope with out electric.
There are new marshalls a little support would have been more helpful.

I think the thread is about those who want to go not those who want to knock it. If you don't want to go that's your business why spoil it for others. Chester is a great place to visit and combine it with a load of mad FUNsters, magic.

£145.00 divide by 4 nights = £36.25. You could get a 5 starr site for that.

I'm not knocking it. I have been there for the past three years, towed of twice.
How am I spoiling it for others, just giving my opion.

You are knocking it. Everything you say is knocking it. You are spoiling it for others.

Is there something your not telling us John, what is it that you can't manage for without electric:rolleyes: you have my imagination working overtime.
Carol I can manage with out electric, it is the price that they are charging for it.

Have Three
Ok, so apart from trying your hardest to derail this meet for others, which you are failing to do miserably, why are you worried about ehu?
We’re not interested in people who don’t want to go, we’re interested in people who do want to go so we have an idea of the numbers.

John everyone is quite capable of checking prices and deciding for them selves whether they need electric or not, I can not for the life of me understand why you would put such a negative post. when any one who cares to check for themselves on the Chester Festival link that there is so much more than cheese stalls, the cookery demonstrations are excellent, along with the cookery classes all for free and all included in the rally fee, along with Chester with so much history and things to explore, but I'm sure by the people who book year after yesr and enjoy it will see past the one negative you have chosen to high lite

Though I am a motorhome owner, I do possess the ability to read.. so when I saw the price of EHU I chose not to select this offer .. weird or what?

Yes you are. Negative posts one after the other. Carols right, let people choose for themselves.

They sell Stinking Bishop cheese there, it’s very expensive and I don’t like it anyway, so I’m not going cos the cheese is too expensive!

I know what you mean.

I would go if the electric hook up wasn’t so expensive, even though I don’t need electric.

Because I haven’t got a van.
