when i converted my trailer i deliberately used small windows high up. they act like chimneys for the heat to escape . plus big windows cause the heat .
i have no roof vents as they also cause the sun to heat the inside.
the roof is fibre glass. clear with white polystyrene as insulation . i did consider fitting ally on the roof thought it might be stronger but the local coach builders put me off the reckon ally or steel attracts the heat and lets it though to the inside.
i must say i have been in some very hot places . never use a fan at all . folk do come in and say its cool in here have i got air conditioner going . then realize there isnt .
it works a treat . plus small windows stops burglars getting through them .
if its hot i leave the stable door open . air goes in then up and out the windows .
its also an advantage in winter as its easier to keep warm if in colder places .
