Downsizing soon from Swift Coachbuilt to an Adria PVC without Microwave and without oven or grille and a 2 burner hob

I know a vast number of you will exclaim “so what”, but looking for suggestions as to a single piece of kit that might be a useful addition
Mostly on EHU but small gas canisters might be a solution

Any thoughts?

What do other continental style PVC owners use.?

There is a small fan assisted oven on the market (roughly 450x250x250) that are quite successful, don't take up much room, and from memory about £30.

But! there are heaps of recipes suitable for a 2 burner hob. Life with a 2 burner hob is not all about beans on toast.. The last time we were away we managed to produce a dish consisting of Chicken thighs, chick peas, spinach, and baby roma tomatoes. And for breakfast we managed a Shakshuka, all on a two burner hob.

Cooked a curry and rice on 2 rings tonight. Loads of stuff you can do on 2 rings. A steamer which fits on top of one of your saucepans can also be useful.

I have a halogen oven, great for roast potatoes, chicken, pies, toast, pizza, etc. But only when on hook-up

Also really easy to keep clean

Ramoska Oven, Halogen Oven,or slow cooker, the later can be run on inverter while driving, Remoska whilst static, as its low wattage but very hot and fast at 190 degrees )
On the gas hob, inside or out,Pressure cooker bit big, but very useful.
Summer we cook outside, the list of cooking gizmo's is endless, but Cadac Safari Chef, & now new Weber Q1200 for everything large.

N.B:Need plenty of Leisure battery back up, ideally with B2B charging and Solar for extended inverter use off grid, but I guess you know that.
See you on Masterchef:D

Thanks Les
Covers all the bases I think:D

I suppose what I was looking for, with an eye on weight, was hypothetically if you had to choose ONLY ONE of the above, for 90% EHU use, which would it be?

I am having the same debate. So far I’ve decided on
Cadac 2 Cook - gas mainly for summer
Ridge monkey xl - for the 2 burner

I still want 1 electric cooker so I’m keeping an eye on Remoska prices ... going to see what Black Friday brings!

Remoska, we have a proper oven but if we're on hookup then I always use the Remoska. It's great. I've got the small one in the van, the old style Lakeland one with the glass panel, and the large newer one at home. I got the newer one from Alza for about 2/3 the price of Lakelands which is well worth the gamble now that Lakelands guarantee is 3 years rather than lifetime. In fact I think it was nearer to half price with the help of the odd Funster tip!
Because it's low power you don't have to worry about tripping overseas electrics.

If I could choose only one item, for me it would be the Remoska, I’ve had them for years & wouldn’t be without one.
PS if you want to try one but not sure about the price I have my mum’s Remoska for sale-on fun!

@Cheshirecat57 well if it has to be only one of the aforementioned cooking appliances, and 90% on EHU hook up, then the clear winner for us would be....The Remoska.... Tah Dah! we have had the votes in from the other Funsters now also. so The Remoska is the clear winner and through to next year, and wont be in the cook off:D2
Strictly Speaking:D

Usually brings Skint Saturday for me !

Ramoska for me two. We only had two rings in our last van, & I cooked a full Christmas dinner with the help of the ramoska!

Where you not able to add an oven/grill as an extra on your new van?

A slightly cheaper option is one of these. You can use it for everything from chips to slow cooked stew, chicken to moules. I cooked Christmas lunch in it, too :-)
