Wow, how many gallons/litres to the mile. I used to have an Alvis Stalwart and she did about 4.5 mpg if I was lucky !

Yes, it is a beast.... its nickname is actually "Monsty" :)
My husband has already used it for a trip to Tunisia (the Sahara desert) and yes, we have a towbar, which made my husband a VERY popular man there .... he rescued a group of Italians who got stuck in the sand with their car and a French couple, who got stuck with their campervan.
Our next trip is Transylvania. Obviously this vehicle is not meant for urban areas..... but for the desert (Morocco, Tunisia) or for remote areas it should be good. Well.... at least that is what we hope.

I had a few ex military vehicles pass through my hands when buying them up in Norway. There used to be a lot of ex US stuff up there and I bought a few of the Rio "whistlers". After driving them around in a quarry I thought they would make a good overland vehicle with the Multifuel engine, but then realised there is an awful lot of tarmac between the UK and Morocco. Thankfully, I found a nice Dutchman that took them off my hands.

I’ve seen a few of this type of vehicle, on forums and on campsites over Europe.
I’ve never seen one with a connection between truck cab and habitation.
That would be a challenge, but It wouldn’t work for us without it.
Too much up and down ladders,
Hope you have some great trips.
