We have a Fiat H2 S series 65 SL motorhome which we bought with a Truma Combi which only has heating by gas. If we want to have this converted to dual fuel heating can anyone tell me if this is a possible conversion and perhaps some idea of cost. Is the Truma dual fuel boiler much larger than the gas boiler The current boiler is under the seat.

By dual fuel I assume you mean gas/240v not gas/diesel.

When we bought our current van new, it was gas only. Got a quote upgrading it which was over £600 plus some wiring. Decided against it and have never regretted it. Just make sure you don't run out of gas.

Why?
All 3 vans we have had have been gas only and the new van on order I didn't bother with the electric option.
They are a bit pathetic on electric and far cheaper to run on gas.

Same boiler comes with or without heating elements.

As the chap in Truma's Technical Dept at Derby said to me, when I enquired some years ago, "You can by a lot of Autogas, for what it's going to cost you in parts and labour."

Needless to say, I never bothered, and never regretted it either. We just carried a small fan heater for the few occasions we were on EHU.

Cheers,

Jock. :)
