Contradictory wording (1 Viewer)

I've been ringing around and looking on the Internet for insurance for our first motorhome which we pick up soon.
Of course I have asked about cover for travel in the, EU and the quotes say either 180,days or whole year cover included. However when I look at the policy details all say
  • Your policy will automatically provide the minimum cover throughout most EU countries, this is the amout of cover the insurer will provide at full policy cover.
  • You may be required to obtain a green card to drive abroad so check with us before your travel.,

  • Or similar wording meaning they provide only 3rd party abroad which is not what I want. When I check by phone, different brokers, different insurers, they seem surprised I've read the small print and say, no its wrong you are covered fully comprehensive abroad too. They say they must have sent wrong papers to me or is wrong on website.

I obviously want to know before I commit to policy.
I'm really confused now. Has anyone else noticed this?

Direct quotes for caravan guard, motorhome protect, and then It's motorhome insurance comparison site which gave Motorhome Protect, (£20cheaper than direct), Peter Best, and Grove and Dean. All had the paragraph quoted.
AIB gave a good quote but wouldn't put anything in writing, only price in text.

They have all changed their T&C's after brexit, maybe someone has included incorrect wording by mistake ?
I've always had fully comp insurance through AIB in Eu but a green card is needed as well now.
I'd try speaking to a broker and get them to clarify

That is not at all helpful.
The last time I went abroad, before the end of the Brexit transition period, I had full cover with NFU Mutual. As far as I'm aware, they issue a green card for European continental travel (comprehensive cover) on request, without charge. I've read on here that they don't cover Croatia.
NFU are really easy to deal with - in fact I've been in touch with them this week about extending car cover for my 24 year old. Got a quick reply with details of increased premium for different vehicles. I deal with the same person I first spoke to when I went to the local office 4 years ago asking about buildings and contents cover.
There is no reluctance to provide written details and no nonsense about limited mileage or not being permitted to park the van on occasions in the road rather than on the drive.
They might not be the cheapest.

As suggested above go with a specialist motorhome insurer like Comfort or one of the caravan clubs as they are usually more in tune with likely issues. As an example an A class windscreen can cost thousands to replace but these insurers provide sufficient cover, others may not.
