Anyone got a fone number for Revolut ?
 
Type live agent in the chat and they will be with you

Thanks folks, but I cannot find any way of getting live chat, and the fone number is an automated line that basically said go to live chat !
Click Dashboard button - bottom right
Click ? - top right

Scroll to bottom of page
Click New Chat
 
was in a 6 minute queue 10 minutes ago.. so far nowt !

Still nowt.. Think I will just pull out my money and close the account..
 
Just left 28p to keep the account open.. They can do what they like now

They have asked for additional ID three times, three times I have submitted what they want.. Had an email earlier saying if I do nnot submit the info they are putting a hold on the account..
I used to think Revolut was the mutts... Now I just thinks its nuts !!!! Too dangerous to leave any money on it,,, Have to look elsewhere

I keep getting emails saying they need additional ID, but nowhere does it say what it is that they want, not in the email or in my account in the app.

When you click on it in the app it goes to a page when you just take a photo of your photo driving licence or passport.

Which I did repeatedly... and then they mailed me

But I did that when I opened the account, and I’ve been using the card for months.

Well there is a strange thing !
After weeks ( about 4 weeks )of trying to sort out the ID problem, I gave up tonight and as posted pulled out my money, all bar 28p
I then went on social media and reported the facts as they occurred.. Lo and behold several others tagged on with the same issues, saying they too are going to do the same as me..
At 10 pm tonight I got a message from Revolut..
Hello John. Happy to tell you your ID has been accepted and you are good to go !

I have NO confidence in the system at all now. Until I can actually talk to someone and get explanations and re-assurances the words 'shine, sun, dont and stick it' can be rearranged int to a well known phrase or saying !
 
When we got back from France in early March I noticed a transaction at a French museum had gone through (I remembered having a bit of a problem with their card machine).
Took about 10min to get on the chat then took a couple of minutes for them to credit the second transaction.
 
We had fun and games with Revolut recently too, the new ID proof was a pain in the bum to submit as every time we did it we kept getting requests to do it again! After 3 submissions it was finally sorted but we did exactly the same thing each time so it must have been an issue at their end.
 
I’m confused. Nowhere in the app can I find anywhere to submit new ID. And why do they need new ID? My passport hasn’t changed since I gave them a copy the first time.
 
If you want to live chat to a real person just reply "Not helpful" to the bot.

I don’t understand why you would not want to use it once the ID issues are sorted?

It’s effectively a free service giving a very good exchange rate. I don’t keep a large balance of cash in it - I just top it up as I go along, exchange to a foreign currency as needed and spend that cash. I’ve nothing to loose really.

If it goes belly up I’ve not really lost anything and would just resort to using my main bank cards (as I have done on a number of occasions as some French automated machines, such as 24hr fuel pumps, just don’t like Revolut).

And here’s a tip if you transfer money from overseas etc. I have some U.S. shares (from my employer) and if I previously wanted the cash then I had to transfer via my bank and they just loved to take a nice slice in exchange rate charges and commission for any transfer from $ to £. I now transfer it directly via Revolut, which is way faster, no commission charges and exchanged at interbank rates - I then withdraw it straight away and but it in my bank account.

Have you got it set so that your card transaction Pings on the app as soon as it goes through, I find that useful.

I had a bit of a issue with them whilst I had the Premium account and the response was very poor, got sorted eventually but was a bit worrying as they froze my card then wanted me to delete and reinstall the app as there was some issue, I just had a vision of my balance being Zero when I reinstalled :LOL:

I had another issue do with the fact that 3 months transaction equated to about 10x my annual income;) that got sorted with copies of building society passbook showing funds.

There was one other occasion that I could not raise them on the in app chat so I just sent a message to their FB page and that got me a response PDQ.

Cancelled Premium account now and back to normal spending.

We both have Revolut cards and Nick had this two months ago. No way would it accept his new passport photo. I think they are just too shiny and it’s hard to get it flat. We used his faded drivers licence. It accepted the photo. Then said it would review it, This took days before it was accepted. Finally went through. There are lots of complaints about it on Facebook and Twitter because it just leaves you hanging and you can’t get back into the app and you don’t know if you can use your card.

I’ve just had an email, looks identical to Nick’s. Opened the app to go through the rigmarole but so far there’s nothing in the app asking for updated security which is odd. I will certaily not be doing it through any link in the email. You had that option in Nick’s email but I was suspicious then and waited until we’d had a few by which time there was something on the app.
