We have this older type oyster control box. I am sure I saw instructions which said you could connect a freesat box from the second coax connection. Is this correct.

On the left hand side of the picture you posted there are two screw in satellite connectors (F connectors). The top one is the input for the signal coming from the dish and the bottom one is a loop feed for a secondary receiver. If you wish to use the loop feed you will need to shut the Oyster receiver down in order to allow the secondary receiver full control. To do this you simply wait for the satellite to lock on and then on the Oyster remote press the AV button to put the receiver into sleep mode. The signal will then be redirected into the second receiver.
