Good morning, what is the solution, if there is one, to bad condensation. Never noticed a problem with my older Hymer but this newer Hymer has it is so bad it literally pours off the windscreen all over the dash and similar on side habitation windows

Silver screens, ventilation, no internal heat, stop breathing. The first two were the serious answers.

Minster external fitted screen cover. When the van is not in use I’ve got a few damp traps scattered about to absorb mosture. (y)

The new van is probably more airtight than the old one.
Ventilation is the key and an exterior screen cover will stop lots in really cold weather

Window vac for removing, silver screens for preventing plus some ventilation.

Its a good sign. It means the rest of the van must be well insulated and air tight.

The front screen does act as a type of dehumidifier .yes external screens stop it. But when they stop it where does it go?

It stays in the air. Warm air holds moisture, when it hits the cold screen it condenses.
Ha Ha. Yes I know that (I was theorising a little) - But the air in the van cools too (unless you leave your heating on). The air can only hold so much moisture (as you rightly say) so if its condensing on the screen then the dew point is reached (or is close). If you warm your screen and the air in the van is rich in moisture then it perhaps makes you vulnerable to condensation in other places.

Not an issue for occasional users, but possibly for full timers. You could get damp spots in cold corners etc.

I use an external screen but its more for conservation of warmth than stopping condensation.

Sometimes it staggers me just how much condensation gathers on the screen.
