What's the best way to get rid of windscreen condensation the natural way? I don't have a vac thing and not going to start wiping it down. I've heating on and roof skylight open a little bit, is that the quickest way of dealing with it?

Best way is not to let it happen \ build up by fitting external screen covers (eg Taylormade, Silverscreens, etc). If you can't \ don't want to fit them the best option is a window vac but you need to make sure it will reach into the bottom of the screen without "leaking".
After that it's a chamois leather or similar.
Last of the moisture dried up with the heating on windscreen with aircon on if you've got it.

Edit, we use screens.

I don't usually get this much on the window in the morning, I must have been breathing extra heavy last night

As above. You will never get rid of it this time of year unless you invest in external screens.Unless you want to sit with cab windows open all day?

Sorry! Obviously that's the ultimate solution, don't breathe (well, exhale so learn to hold your breath!).;):giggle:

Heating was on 1 all night, I thought that was supposed to stop it. Maybe needs a window open all night as well ?‍♂️

As much ventilation as is possible without freezing to death, But as suggested, the only real cure for the cab is external screen covers..they just work. (y)

The way we deal with it at the movement is a curtain to separate the cab from living area where the vapours are originating. Specially when cooking, washing etc. And turn on the maxx fan to extract the humid air even with heating on. At the back I have a air inlet from outside and we get proper cross ventilation. It works well. When we forget to turn the fan on with the cooking we do get a bit of condensation on the windscreen, even with the kitchen window open. The vapours are building up at the top and migrate down as they cool. The vapour barrier and the insulation does a good job because I never get it on the insulated areas, only on glass windows. My next is custom thermal blinds with reflective, foam and felt layers. I will have a crack at it myself.

Heating on makes the temperature differential (inside \ outside) higher therefore potentially more condensation. Ventilation is the better solution.

Bedroom windows open at night and no heating on, warm air carries more moisture than cold air, other than that keep cold surfaces warm so silver screen outside as suggested.

I don't understand .
What is the problem with wiping it down ?

So does a sponge.
It's all I've done for years, takes just a couple of minutes.

I was wondering if there was better way. Try and wipe it you still get a lot of water dripping down on to the dash. In a rush then I would have no choice but to wipe it down.

Must be quite a rush that you don't have a couple of minutes to wipe it down.
Warm air inside, cold air outside = condensation.
No better way , unless you insulate the windscreen as been suggested.

I said if I was in a rush I would have no choice to wipe it down. I was wondering if there were any other options instead of wiping it down. Cheers for your input though.

I've got one of those sponge things that's got a soft absorbing fabric cover, only takes a minute or so and very effective.
If there is an alternative then yes great, but without insulating the windscreen then I doubt an alternative.

Go somewhere where it’s warm.
Oh! Just remembered they’re all closing down their borders.
So you need a micro fibre cloth.:giggle:

Heating on full bung... nae ventilation... nae screen covers ... lots o huffn n pantn by both you n the gaffer........ Then in morning clean with Karcher Mini Vac and empty intae water tank... resulting in self sufficiency.... You will never need tae fill tank ever again...Promise ????

Simple all windows and roof lights fully open & turn heating off = no condensation.

And you can have frozen nuts with your cornflakes for breakfast ????

Use a couple of flannels/small towels to get the worst off then use the heated screen

Has anyone tried one of them 12v dehumidifiers? I have seen them but haven’t thought they will do anything.
