Condensation removal ideas (1 Viewer)

Any suggestions for dealing with the inevitable condensation on winter mornings. I know that ventilation is an obvious solution but any suggestions about a karcher type device for getting onto those deep areas on the front windscreen, are they worth it, or are there other cures for this problem.At the moment it's good old kitchen roll but there must be something easier. Yes a Karcher Window Vac is great on the windows. Can also use it for the shower screens and tray.

Cant beat a window vac, surprises me how much water they remove.
Quick and easy to use, leaves the screen clear with no residue.
Removes the water not moving it around.

Oh thanks for that, yes I have been looking at them online, I just need to make sure the end bit is slim enough to get right down to the bottom of the windscreen.

Window vac, our Karcher is great for the job and last ages when charged.
The only problem is that when its got some water in it it prefers to be upright, otherwise it spits its contents all over the place.
Just do the bits that require tipping it up first.

Do you have an external silver screen? We find that we get very little condensation when we use ours.

I can’t imagine there are any that can be used upside down but if there is I’d like to know.
Our Karcher can be used at 90 degrees but only with a small amount of water in it, I have developed a method of doing the windows so the 90 degree bits are done after I’ve emptied it, or when I start.
Our A class front window may be more upright than the normal cab window though, allowing easier access at the bottom.

We use a Karcher vac too. The trick is to empty the water out frequently. For example, when clearing the windscreen, especially at the bottom, I start at one side, from the middle out, then empty it immediately. As long as you do this, you won’t have a problem with water spitting out or getting into the motor.
i believe there are some that can be used fully inverted so I suppose a search on google would a good place to start

I find a microfibre towel does the job and dries quickly. One kept solely for this purpose.

Quick google search revealed this about the AEG WX7 window vac. It looks very similar to the karcher.

Another vote for the window vac but if I'm using the van this time of year my external screens are used. Stops condensation and keeps things alot warmer?

Wifey get a plastic thingamebob out of the £ shop works ok in our cars

Another tip . We have a very sloping windscreen so we use the karcher sideways but we put a towel on the dash to soak up inevitable drips. Sounds messy but it’s not . Brilliant for the job

Karcher at home and a Lidl \ Aldi "copy" in the motorhome but as we've got external screen covers only use it on the habitation windows.

We have a leaky Karcher, wrapped in a cloth to catch drips.
The cheapest (& qickest) solution must be a wiper blade and a towel underneath.

Stop the condensation at source by using an external screen cover. You won't need a karcher then.

External screen covers are also useful in the summer for keeping the van cool.

Wouldn't be without one.

That's a good point. Once they have been used for polishing they get wax on them and then stop absorbing water.

Our Karcher is fine upside down until the water tank is nearly full. We don't use it very often as we have the insulated aluminium front blind & there are heating vents between the blind and screen.

It doesn't get in swmbos car. She does less than 1000 miles a year but insists on having it. She says it gives her independence. It is the only one of our vehicles that has never had dogs in.

I don’t like silver screens. When I wake up I want to open the blinds, let the light in and look out. If there is any condensation I can quickly clear it with the Window Vac.
