I have just noticed two or three small patches of condensation in my large Heki roof light. Does anyone know a reason for this? There are no cracks visible.
I am thinking of removing the plastic bungs to allow air to circulate but wonder if I am missing something obvious.
I have used the search facility here but seemingly I am the first to enquire about this problem.

At a guess.... if like double glazing...
The seal has broken down somehere...

However, if there are "bungs"... then my guess is... it would happen sooner or later...

And if you remove to vent... then I would suggest a day with low humidity....

That's my logic... anyway!.. :)

Acrilc windows and roof lights are microporous and water vapour can penertrate it nothing wrong with it.
Take the bungs out on a nice warm sunny day to allow it to dry out.

More than toes wet now!
Used to happen now and again in the double glazed windows of our caravan. Disappeared within a short period of time with me doing nothingz.
Be aware the plastic bungs can be difficult to remove and, regularly, will break \ tear so can't be used again. In worst cases you end up with a bit of the bung inside the window.
If it was me, leave it well alone!(y)

And "relatively" low humidity... that is important... . else it will re-appear...
You say some very useful things and I thank you for that BUT your new avatar is very very scarey and if I was Joy @movan I wouldn't accept any crunchies from you on a Friday!:rofl:
