Has anyone out there put a front and sides on their liner or charisma awning?

When we previously owned a charisma, I managed to buy a very large fiamma privacy room on ebay, get the sides modified and away we went. Although I have to say when we were in Devon and the wind got up I was convinced it was going over the top of the motorhome even with double storm straps on it. The biggest issue was the telescopic poles that went against the side of the van moving about all over the place.

I would like to come up with a more robust but lighter weight solution this time. Be great if anyone could share their experiences please.

I think the Privacy Room is too large on a 6m Awning along with weight and storage issues,However, we could on occasion make use of a Porch like Awning, something that takes a table and two chairs would be adequate, unfortunately there appears to be nothing on the market suitable, the high door clearance is the issue the maximum Awning being 295cm high.

If you do find anything that fits please let me know.

There is only one answer to a awning that fits exactly and will live through bad gales and gusts, its a GH awning made to measure and fitted by them while you wait but it is expensive which is fine if you are keeping the van for a long time

I had a chat with south down today and they are getting me a quote for a modified thule residence room. Once I get the pricing back from that I will have a bit of a think.

Yep, I'm aware of the awning company being a motorsport nut :) (And sometimes competitor :) )

We found an awning in one of our lockers when we brought our Liner home.
The previous owner raced motor cycles and probably used it at race circuits.
I've not had it out of its bag yet but....there's three bags!
One seems to be full of quite substantial framing.
I hadn't taken much interest in it till now:)
If I get to erect it before the winter I'll take some photos.....Might even flog it.(y)
