Finally got around to having the front grill resprayed(y)...Booked in for next Monday so on Sunday I'll be removing the "bonnet"......I can't wait !!!!!!!......Then....I'll eventually get around to the rear decals !!!(y)
The reason for the long delay ?
My wife said I couldn't have the grill sprayed until I finished this !!!!

Started last September !!!!..Finished yesterday !!!

Took the grill to be resprayed today(y)...Wot a cock up !!!!!.The sprayer said,"Can't do that mate",Why not I said getting ready for a row !!!....."It's a wrap and not paint,"Before I can spray it it's got to come off"I felt a right D***H**D!!!!!.....I honestly thought it was paint:cry:.
Anyway.Took it home and stripped off the wrap......Underneath is perfect and I'm not sure whether to leave it in the original white or have it re wrapped in grey......I must admit I like the white(y).
Here's a few photos of the sequence.......The first photo is the tools my friend Old Mo reckoned I needed to do the job !!!!!!!!!.

Love to Brian,,,,,you pick the field !!(y).Actually mate....you have it the wrong way around....your Arto looks like my Concorde !:p.
A couple of photos of the rear decals......Who's idea was it to do this ?????:LOL:.
They are coming off in quarter inch strips so its bloody hard work !!!
I wish I wasn't as anal as I am !!!!!...Trouble is I'd never be happy with them like this !:((y).
But.......I have a plan !!!(y)
DSCF1581.JPG

There's a lot of polishing etc to do before the new ones go on !!:(

DSCF1582.JPG

Now for the plan !!!!
Apart from using Mo's tool kit...(see below)
I 've found equipment you can't do without.(second picture)
Drink it all before starting.....When the decals come off a quarter inch at a time you're that P****d you don't care !!!!:LOL:.

Finished taking the decals off today:LOL:...It's been a pain but worth it(y).
Now the tedious job of removing the old glue:(.
I've found that nail varnish remover is best.....softens the glue a treat but doesn't damage the paint(y).....I used Citiva's bottle and sent her out for more supplies !!!(y).The only trouble is...Mo's right,it also removes whatever colour nail polish you're wearing at the time:LOL::LOL:
After the removal of the glue it'll be lots of hard work with colour restorer !!
It's taking me ages but at the end of the day there's no rush......Retirement rules !!!!!
From this to that(y).
