Eight wonderful years!
Hi All, In April 2021 MMM Barrie James mentioned a tiny transmitter which shows its whereabouts on a mobile phone - vodafone, £20 plus £2 per month - other providers have similar. Never read about such a thing and I've searched these forums and have found nothing. Husband and I both use giffgaff on our mobile phones. Can anyone advise if we can fit something similar. Many thanks

Sounds like a tracker. The most well known one is probably made by Rewire. They work but can be easily jammed if the thief knows what they are doing.

Thanks guys - I will look at both devices but I don't think either of these was what Barrie was describing. The apple thing doesn't seem to be designed for vehicles ??? Barrie mentions £20 plus £2 per month. Cheers, have a nice day - I think summer has arrived!

Beat me to it  I'm thinking of using one in my van after originally looking for a dog tracker

Think I mentioned it in the 'Bike' section but I have a Invoxia tracker protecting my bike. It's small enough that wrapped in an innertube it would be unnoticed in the saddle bag and alerts me within 10 seconds if the bike is moved or tilted. The tracker cost about £100 with three years network access and then it is £10 a year. The battery last from 2 to 6 months depending on notification intervals and it will work if the usb is permanently plugged in. It works so well I am going to get one for the MH......

It’s probably the “Curve” that your hubby is thinking about

Vodafone Curve

Cheers

With only 'up to 7 days' of battery life it's pretty useless for most things.
