The pandemic is not over enough for us to feel comfortable at an indoor event like this at present, plus I have this inkling that it may well be a damp squib with a lot of potential exhibitors giving it a miss.

Got to admit we are unsure about going at present but may be having our level of immunity to Covid tested (new triple test being rolled out at £49) as the hotel breaks that we host for groups start soon so can't avoid indoors exposure.

The last NEC show we exhibited at was February 2020 and I was surprised that that went ahead with hindsight considering the first lockdown a couple of weeks later. Having just ordered a new motorhome and spent some little time driving around dealers with empty forecourts I do wonder what dealers could exhibit even if they went?

We (Van Bitz) decided that we will book for the 2023 shows but not before.

Apparently there are over 350 exhibitors.

Do agree that it is likely to be a much reduced Show in February as it's mostly dealer's demo stock but more hopeful for October when manufacturers bring in their new models. Still with free tickets the products & accessories stands might still be a worth a visit if in the area so thought the competition worth posting :) We have been to an event at the NEC last year & there were strict Covid rules & "hospital theatre grade" air filtration has been installed so could be less risky than a night in a packed pub or restaurant but all still have some risk.

Apparently there are over 350 exhibitors.

And I wonder how many of the 350 will be pie, cheese, wine, and gin sellers along with the fancy ladies scarfs, super glue, one drill bit to drill anything, and other old tat sellers?

If you look through the Accessories section that aren't actually that many of them.

And no overnight parking allowed not even the vastly overpriced site the CAMC used to run. They could take a lead out of Caravan Salon and make an aire/stellplatze available.
