Our 8 seater Transit Tourneo (according to the Log Book :- Taxation Class - Diesel Car, Body Type - Minibus, Vehicle Category - M1) is having its roof chopped of and a PopTop fitted this week.
I've just informed my Insurer (LV) that I'm converting it to "a van which will have a bed, PopTop, furniture - but no gas."
As and 8 seater "Minibus" it cost me £384 per annum - LV have now insured it as a Motorcaravan and now it will cost £12 per annum more.
Our insurance may be inflated because we we had a similar vehicle stolen - 4 years ago.
