Looking for a compact water filter jug or unit that doesn't cost too much & is about the size of a 1L Tetra Pack - probably doesn't exist but thought it's worth asking for ideas of what Funsters use to see which is closest to this? Want to carry two large milk containers in the door of the fridge (like lots of tea & coffee & milk on muesli) so not enough room for a full sized jug as well & understand that leaving a filter jug out at room temperature is not advisable?

We leave our Brita in the draw at room temperature, for the last 2 years without ill effect! OK if you want a mouth full of cold water its not going to work, but I will drink a glass from it. We then use it mainly for tea and coffee.

We've used a filter jug for some years, initially cheap Asda one and now a Brita.
It is always left on the worktop in the van but we don't use the water directly from it - it either goes in the kettle or into one of Jill's Sodastream bottles which, once carbonated, are kept in the fridge.

What about just preparing the water in a Brita and the pouring that into the desired storage vessel for the fridge ?

Our Brita is left out on the worktop all the time, has been like that for 15yrs, it gets filled about 3-5 times a day.
