Ask a sensible question to our lot and get may well get a non sensible answer.

“Girls give me some ideas for this Summers main vacation”

No4 daughter: any where in Italy

No3 daughter: what about that island sarf of Corsica (yep she’s going to fail geography, i can feel it…)

No2 daughter: Pripyat
!

Now i did point out that being in an active nuclear fall out area and now being in a war zone may make the last request some what challenging. But i did receive some rational justification: The catfish are supposed to be big in the local river and it will help with homework studies…..

I think I’ll have to do some convincing with the island sarf of Corsica if i can find some reasonably price ferry tickets:LOL:

I’m just glad No1 daughter has flown the nest otherwise I’d never survive, give me peace ✌️

We (my son and my brother and I) went to Sardinia in 2020 on a fly and ride motorcycle trip. We loved it, beautiful scenery, fantastic food, good beer (ask for non filtrata) what’s not to like?
I would recommend Sardinia to anyone.

We've been to Corsica and Sardinia is on the wish list. A lot see there and a lot of beaches if that's your thing. :)

I'd love to do the Pripyat tour. Hopefully it won't be long before travel there is possible. Could check out all the burned out rusky tanks on the journey.

Uhm, €1150 for a return crossing to Sardinia:eek: (we tick all the wrong boxes)….

The catfish are indeed enormous in the water below the railway bridge next to the now covered reactor. And they glow ......

Geneva Olbia return cost us €70 each return. We didn’t spend that amount for the whole week including bike rental, hotels meals. Etc.

I'm with daughter 4. Mainland Italy, but I'd refine it down to the Adriatic coast, rather then the Med. The Med side of Italy has better reviews that it merits IMO. The Adriatic coast is more authentic Italy.

Depends on how long you have, but if you have three weeks, perhaps a tour starting on the Lago Maggiore and then on to the Venetian lagoon in the Cavalino or Ca Savio area (very pricey, but impossible to beat for beach and culture). Going down to the Del Conero National Park, on to the Gargano National Park and finishing around Bari or Brindisi?
