So this is what I have put together, keeping in mind we do have the wee mutt with us which has precluded some of our intended destinations..

Any other suggestions will be welcome though as we will only be out for a month time is not our friend

We will be leaving this coming Saturday, as soon as number two daughter and her brood are ensconced in the house ..


Camp site at Littleport CB7 4TA ( this is on the list only as we are attending a wedding close by and it is from there we will actually be starting the trip )

The Trout, near Oxford SN7 8RF

Phil is it possible to overnight there then ?
Given it will be mid to late September it should be a little quieter ?

I have never stayed overnight, but there is a ton of space to park. It would be a good place to overnight if allowed. You could go onto their website and ask the question.

There is no overnight camping at Beamish, John, other than as part of organised rallies.

C&CC (Durham DA) have a rally there 11-13 September and MCC are there October 2nd to 5th.

Aha ! That might well work out good for us Graham.. But if not there are a couple of places I can plot up for the night within shouting distance..

John.. friends in low places and all that :) Some of the places on the list are not over nights merely places we will be visiting..
And yes ! You are spot on.. and thank you for pointing it out !! Britannia is actually at PL24 2SL
