Comfortmatic and flat battery.

Thinking of changing to automatic for our next van. I'm wondering if any funster has had to contend with starting an automatic with a flat battery given the problems posed. Cheers John.

What problems?
Just connect another battery or vehicle to the terminals under the bonnet leave for a few minutes then select neutral and it should start.
My mate had a flat battery on his van I just connect a wire from the leisure battery to the starter battery left it a couple of hours, disconnected and it started OK.

TBH I've never tried to push-start any motorhome so gearbox type is irrelevant to me .

PS: I have an automatic.

Did not think it is a good idea to push/bump start any modern vehicle.... thought it could damage catalytic converter....

Battery packs are so small and light these days you can keep one in the glove box. I've got one of these, used successfully this very morning having stupidly left some kit turned on whilst away in France for three weeks.
