I remember many years ago being on a long, very long overnight trip to Lille by coach. We found a cafe for coffee and croissants and deciding on another cup plus a livener one of the guys ordered with Madame la Patronne " cinq cafe svp et..." then turned to us and said "whats French for Cognac?"
