Since we've been owners of Maxine the motorhome which is now 4 years we have only used the microwave 3-4 times.
So I finally persuaded Stephanie to let me take it out and make a larger wine cabinet (we used a normal cupboard which held 2 wine bottles).
The cupboard one the microwave came out had wiring harnesses down the back wall plus the power point
So light weight battens across the back and some MDF panel made a new back panel
the cupboard was then lined with pound shop vinyl tiles (2 packs of 4 that were not full and around 8-9 years old )

We carry 2 Gin Glasses and 2 Wine glasses, we have tried for more wine glasses but not enough room but we have got room for 4 shot glasses
there are now 4 bottles in the cabinet with all the glasses

This is what it looked like before removing the microwave

The completed cupboard new false back lined with vinyl tiles just leant in for effect and Stephanie's approval

Now all we need is some lighting (on order from Ebay so far spend has been £5.90 for the 2 single wine bottle holders and the LED lights were £7 for 5m everything else needed was in stock in my workshop

Now all we need is a trip out roll on the 19th

That’s nice. It puts our standard fit cocktail cabinet from Autosleepers to shame.

Ah ha, see what you did there. Clever as you could only use a microwave on hookup but you can use a cocktail cabinet anywhere. 👍

In our first van we found the oven rubbish and so simply used it to hold two wine boxes , your modification is slightly more sophisticated (y)

We used the microwave only once, we were having a film night at home and and someone bought around some popcorn, it was microwave popcorn but we don’t have a microwave.
Then worked out the MH has one and it’s on EHU so popped out and did the popcorn.

Have to say I hate the things
