Could I ask if anybody knows how much current the above alarm uses in it's active state, ie. when the vehicle is locked. ?
Google and the manual don't seem to include this info.

I have just started up my motorhome (2.3ltr 2008 Ducato) after nearly 2 months of standing.
Batteries were fully charged when parked up.
The cab battery, at rest , before starting showed 11.7v which equates to about a 30% SOC remaining. Which batteries do not like.
The battery is of 'indeterminate' age.
I would not normally leave it this long.

It did , a little reluctantly , start the engine (jump leads etc. were at the ready but not needed.

The cab battery has a 20w solar maintainer linked to it but I suppose it's charge has been almost nil over the last 2 months.

Just trying to see if all is pretty much Ok or I should start thinking of a new cab battery, since the battery is still functional but not in the first flush of youth.

I replaced the hab battery last year with a 'quality' battery, this was at 12.7 which is very good but with no drain on it at all.

I am sure you will know, but that CAR alarm is not suited to a motorhome. They draw anything up to 300mA in set state, and the radio will draw some current too. All the little bits add up

Over the years its reported in here cab batteries last little more then 3 weeks with the load of modern electronics. You did amazingly well.

That's a worry , if you are right.
The Cobra is a 4908 Cat 2-1 Canbus version, which I know is fitted to lot's of motorhomes.
Thank you for your info.

the fact it is canbus and switches with the central locking makes it next to useless, sorry

Any help ? The install manual might have it.

This may help. The Corbra 4600 series motorhome alarm has a 12 milli amp drain when armed.

If its the same as the 4908 that equates to 17 to 18 amp drain over 2 months plus any other drain in the Fiat side. I've attached the installation guide where the info is on page 19. Could not find a one for the 4908

Thank you , 12mA ( or about 1/8th of an Amp) seems plausible , say 20AH over 2 months would leave my 90AH battery at about 80% SOC or approx 12.4v IF it was brand new and there were no more parasitic losses.
