I do like that, very well done. Are old coaches expensive to buy? Would I need my C+E licence back?

They usually get run until repairs are just about more than they earn, selling down thru the sector , and you would need C , +E if intending to tow over 750kg HTSH :)

The things I've quoted are the legal requirements when using a spec lift it's nothing to do with recovery or broken down vehicles or it wasn't when I was using them to deliver new cars

Hi, thanks for all your comments, looks like Iā€™ve stirred up the legalities of the spec lift. I am an ex heavy recovery operator. You guys are correct on all counts, so to clarify the spec lift can be used under recovery to remove a broken down vehicle Only, however the towed vehicle does become a trailer so anything over 750kg must have brakes, I am currently developing my own proportional braking system using the cars brakes for the towed vehicle to keep me within the law. The car must be secured to the spec lift and also have a safety chain connecting the towed vehicle to the towing vehicle, again safety auto braking system in development.
The pics of the spec are outside of my workshop, testing fitment.

cheers all.

It looks like you've done a great job and I like the bodywork colour. The cat seems to have settled in well.
I am curious about the overhead lockers. They look like airline "bins" and I'm wondering if you have had to adapt them to keep smaller items secure when travelling, such as food tins, packets, crockery, etc.
They are like aircraft bins, ( one of the things that I really like about her ) to be honest nothing really shifts in the bus unless Iā€™m a little heavy on the throttle in the cornersā€¦..

love it! I bet you can hardly tell the difference having the car on, I would just put an electric brake buddy in the car and forget to plug it in.
