A-class tends to have fewer doors. I think that doors are usually the means of access for thieves, especially cab doors, as they are familiar with them and know their weaknesses.

All the other differences I can think of have been mentioned above.

Good point. As others have said we never use our single "cab" door and it is kept locked and bolted. Instead we both use the habitation door all the time.

The other thing my wife likes is that the electric window on her side (in the cab door) is wider and taller and she has more room between her seat and the door than the old C class. It is much easier for her to stand next to the seat and lean out of to pay the French/Italian/Spanish tolls. On the other hand the sliding window on my side is not so good, but then we don't pay many UK tolls!
