CLs

Doubt it but I can see club and commercial sites opening initially with no facility and communal areas open until the Virus is gone or at a very manageable level.

We have used many CLs over the years. Mostly very good with a few exceptions. The price has been creeping up to not far off the club sites (out of season prices) without the facilities on offer.
If they are not careful they will soon price themselves out of the equation.

Like you say normally loads of space, so yes even more popular now in these difficult times, there are many that try and book club sites and cant get in, ? and to be honest it's about time they changed the 5 van rule, they should make the rules individual and if there is enough space be able to except more, after all some can fill the field with tents. ? Bob.

He is probably raising prices as I type.

Yes but still quite a few cheap gems still around.

I have a expensive haven holiday booking in August, even if site open cannot see the pool, clubhouse etc being open, which is what my granddaughter would want, so will not be paying balance.

Not noticed CL prices increasing , two that we use near Chelmsford have been £12 a night for some time.
Might well change after lockdown especially with many of the European travellers still over here.

What is the price for a basic CL site these days.

We do not use the club sites, as we prefer CL’s
There are some real gems about costing between £10 - £15 which is reasonable
And even better some are adult only sites (y)

Are those the ones that use a lot of pampas grass ?

Our last 4 years with caravan we’ve used cl’s 90% of the time.
We love them, pay around £13-£17 per night the location and space more important to us.

Sshh , both at Little Baddow , Little Baddow Fruit Farms has ten pitches 2 x 5 and open all year and Mill House Caravan Park , not CL , seasonal as liable to flood but lovely location near River Chelmer.

I haven't used these sites yet, too near where I live. But are things about to change ? I used to live in Great Baddow when a Marconi apprentice in the sixties.

When you are looking for a CL site where are you looking for the information to find the site and what are the five things that would make you choose one site over another, put them in order please.
