I’m after some bags for storage of clothes in the Moho.

Square, rectangle type things. Fill them in the house and put them straight into the moho cupboards.

What you got? Where from?

I use vacuum bags of various sizes, although the van is already kitted out with separate bedding and towels etc.

Thanks. I don’t need vac feature, unless your saying you don’t bother with it.

It‘s the ability to pack a bag of just X, and another of Y in your bedroom then just plonk the bags into the cupboard all folded and ready.

The mesh bags you get in the supermarket for veg are great for socks & undies.

In the overhead locker cupboards I use hessian shopping bags. I bought the ones that would fit the best, in our case it is these Amazon product ASIN B07GD4FCFP. I bought them as part of a bodge as we haven’t got round to fitting doors on the cupboards yet  But they work really well for now, and I’ll probably carry on using them anyway as they keep everything in order.

I’ve got some from IKEA I’ve had for years - similar to this

We use this type, clothing packing cubes, various shapes and sizes, extremely lightweight, and fold down to next to nothing -
Have seen Lidl & Aldi with sets in the past for about £6 per set.

We use a load of these, normally available at Tessie's £5.00.Stack inside each other when empty.
Mike.

We used the larger plastic baskets for the cabin style top lockers in the Hymer, and the smaller baskets for the envelope lockers.
That way nothing falls out damaging the table or work tops, when you open the locker fronts.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

I just load everything into the laundry basket and then take it out in one hit to Van and then fill the cupboards. When I get back the washing bag goes first and straight to washing machine . I either then leave everything in Van or take it all out depending how long to next trip At present more clothes in Van than house

IKEA. Fit perfectly in our top cupboards.

Look at UKMCPro.co.uk, they have some very good quality ones, I have some and use together with IKEA ones that are no longer sold. I will buy more ukmc ones this winter. They fit my deep lockers .

So do we. No undoing bags and zips just to get a clean pair of socks out, other clothes work too!

Tried them but useless after opening bag as all storage spaces occupied

We use these

Pack 'em at home then stuff them in the overhead spaces when we leave.

My boss swears by these. Cheap as chips

That’s the sort thing we were thinking about.

Thanks all for your suggestions.

We too use the laundry basket method, one each, to put our clothes in, then I just take them out and put them in the lockers in 'groups' so we can see at a glance what T-shirts, trousers etc we have and pick accordingly without having to empty out a 'container' of some sort. Exception to this is the storage of undies, knickers, socks etc all go into storage bags, the type you get with posh shoes in (not that we have any of those!), this keeps them together so we don't get a sock waterfall when you open the cupboard. :giggle: We don't have a wardrobe as I converted it into my pan and shoe store (works a treat) so everything has to be folded which means that we have clothes that don't crease easily too. We do take quite a bit but there's no way I'm pratting around laundering clothes when away so we have a lot of undies with some going in the lockers and others in the garage or under floor lockers in their storage bags until needed.

For dirty washing I use the compression bags, the type you roll the air out of rather than use a vacuum, these keep the 'pongs' in and once full can be squished to reduce the amount of storage they take up.

Been travelling light for years...

Daft as I am I use the compression bags for the clean linen but had never thought about using them for the dirty washing which if I am away for a few weeks does add up. This will now be on my must use this idea list
Thanks you

As for the undies, I still work on the wear the oldest tastiest first and bin them , save you having a undie draw at home full of old pants that you would be very embarrassed if you go run over and needed to go to hospital in,(I try really hard not to get run over on the first week of a holiday)

Already started sorting for my first ever trip to Benidorm

We want the bags for the spare bedding, towels, which are now going to be stored under my bed, as the wardrobe has been converted to shelves, making the stupid over bed head cupboards redundant. Although I’m sure the wife will find something to fill them.
We too use the laundry basket for loading, and have one folding crate that lives in the dining room that has “must go back in the van” stuff in it so it is forgotten.
