We had a very convenient folding clothes rack in our last van that was in the shower unit. It was mounted on the wall and you folded it down if you wanted to use the shower and in use it was enough for a few clothes that dried quite nicely when driving along with the vent above the shower open.

There was no brand, make or any identification on it and I’m trying to find something similar or maybe another alternative that we can use, may one of the suspended racks that are meant for socks and smalls and hang it from the vent ?

Any ideas welcome

My friend has one like that in her house, I think the brand of hers is Leifheit ? It was a very old one but maybe if you google it you might find one?

I don’t know if it would be suitable for a motorhome , depending on the fixing needed.

I wouldn’t fancy screwing one of those into the shower wall as the one in the photograph that’s the problem.

I have one that I took out of my last van. Not quite the same. It doesn't fold down it folds in like telescopic and has a few wire rails. I'll post a photo.

Was it in a Rapido? We had one like that and it's now in the garage of our Carthago.

We got one of these from, I think, B&M or Home Bargains for about £7.

It sits between the folding chairs in the garage when not in use; forms a nice sturdy, compact triangle, held together with a peg and fits nicely on the shower base.

Nice height to be bungeed to the bike rack when used outside.

Do you have a towel rail?

If so use one of the racks that can hang over a widow sill and put it away after use.
If we did that we wouldn't get into the loo as towel rail is immediately on the right as you open the door. We are lucky though as we have a small ceiling mounted rail, factory fitted, great for putting wet stuff on coat hangers to drain into the shower. Ridgeway wouldn't be happy driving along with an open vent.

Our roof vent in the shower can be down at the front and open at the back, so no danger in driving with back open.

Even if closed front and back there are small slit vents which are open all the time, but do not let in rain.

That would be a bonus as no window in our shower room would save me switching on the light which is nowhere near the door.

Looks good and thanks for the tip on the brand, hadn’t crossed my mind to think of Seitz
If you don't find what you're after You could have this one for a reasonable price. The new prices are rediculous.

Our intention is to use a free standing fold flat drying rail to stand outside or in the shower in wet weather.

We have one of those poles made in 2 parts with a spring inside which can be adjusted to fit tightly between the opposing shower walls. We then hang hooks from them

They have lots of airer like this on Amazon, one reviewer said he hung it from the window of his motorhome (presumably not whilst on the move although it would dry your washing ...). I've used coat hangers hung on the bike rack of our motorhome, works a treat.

I got a couple of those from a car boot sale for £1 each, due to the large arm 'hooks' they do indeed go over the window sills which some of the metal hook ones don't (bending them doesn't work as they fall off!).
