Hope posting this doesn't breach rules but I was saddened today to receive this email from the Administrators for Discover Leisure.

But it may provide an opportunity for a bargain for Funsters.

Be interesting to see whats left, I would have thought suppliers would have claimed 'retention of title' on unpaid goods and taken them back.

All the new vans will have been returned to converters under the stocking schemes.

The used vans will be sold as seen I would imagine as there is no service back up.

Discover Leisure at The Caravan Company

Following the collapse of Discover Leisure, who until recently boasted the country’s largest caravan and motorhome dealer network, The Caravan Company are pleased to announce the purchase of Discover Leisure’s stock of new and pre-owned touring caravans from the administrator. The total value of the purchase is in excess of one million pounds and instantly increases the number of touring caravans offered for sale at The Caravan Company’s four outlets (Leicester, Northampton, Reading and Wimborne) to over 400.
BIG choice of unused 2010 and 2011 Models

Many of these caravans are unused 2010 and 2011 models including the very latest Bailey Alu-Tech designs, Swift Challenger and Conqueror, as well as tourers from the new Elddis range. All are offered at significant savings off the manufacturers recommended retail price.
Our Commitment to Discover Leisure Customers

Discover Leisure customers who ordered a second hand or new 2010 or 2011 model and had their deal cancelled as a result of the company’s receivership are encouraged to contact Martin Woolfe at The Caravan Company’s Leicester site by telephoning 0116 253 6767. If the caravan they were hoping to purchase is still available The Caravan Company will do everything possible to ensure customers are not disadvantaged by the unfortunate closure of Discover Leisure.
More than 400 Touring Caravans to be Sold

With touring caravan stock levels so high and prices so low there has never been a better time to buy your next touring caravan, which is great news despite the sad demise of Discover Leisure.

All the vultures come out, picking the scraps off the bones of a once proud beast.

One thing is for sure, those who put most in, the workers, the suppliers, the customers will get nowt.
