We stayed at Maisons Laffitte last year and had a pitch right on the river Siene, it's a 10 min walk to the rail station and 20 min train to Paris, you can get a combined rail/metro ticket which I think was about 11 Euros. The site is easy to get to with a good shop and cafe/bar.There's a campsite at Maisons-Lafitte beside the R Seine, a short walk from the RER rail station which is integrated with the Metro, so you can go directly into the city centre without changing. It stops at Etoile, directly beneath the Arc de Triomphe, amongst others.
