Hey all,

In our next build, one of the areas we want greatly improved (for fulltiming) is our bathroom. We have the room in the Vario, so why not:

(the red box is the size of our current van)

Tank wise, I can fit a 350l fresh (maybe more), 350l waste and a 250l black. I'd like a macerator toilet, but would like advice.

The toilet I'm thinking about (very odd thing to say ) is a Thetford Tecma.

I've never fitted this type of toilet before - what are the pro's and con's?

Is there a better solution?

Emptying wise, I'm planning on plumbing in a domestic macerator in our work unit that the waste pipe can connect to. I'll also carry a Tote in the boot so we can empty like a cassette toilet at a push.

Basically, I'm after as close to a house toilet as possible.

Any ideas?

That's potentially 600kg off your payload if they are both full ,plus the weight of all the plumbing for the black tank.
