The chap who fitted my solar panels pointed out that the roof of our Rapido was marked with a non-slip pattern where it was safe to stand, and plain where it was not so safe! That was the same as I had discovered on our old Pilote, where the pattern was only within the area bounded by the roof rack. If you can see the same type of markings on your roof, that should tell you where it is, and is not, safe to stand!
Most Rapidos have textured roofs, the downside is that the texture holds the dirt. When walking on a roof please observe a few points, don't walk anywhere near the roof lights, only walk forwards never backwards, don't use your mobile (distractions can be fatal). If you don't feel confident don't go up there, use a ladder along the sides (with foam lagging over the ends to protect your van)The chap who fitted my solar panels pointed out that the roof of our Rapido was marked with a non-slip pattern where it was safe to stand, and plain where it was not so safe!
