We have a Comanche of the same year and when I contacted Autotrail with the same question their reply was that, "You can walk on any bits that are flat".
As ours has an access ladder up the back, factory fitted, I took them at their word and it is still ok after several voyages up there.
I weighed 14 1/2 stones when I first tried it.

Stops slips also marks then just use long brush.

Yes.. No problem... I do an annual clean of roof plus been up to fit a couple of solar panels..
Avoid the overcab area, dont stand or even lean on it if possible.. Otherwise ok, as said be careful as can be slippy....

Well I have a 2010 Savannah and I've been on the roof many times though I do use old bits of kitchen worktop or very thick plywood to spread my weight of about 18 stone!

Much to risky to be going up there. It's a dangerous and windy place up there...... Send the missus up!

since 2014!
The chap who fitted my solar panels pointed out that the roof of our Rapido was marked with a non-slip pattern where it was safe to stand, and plain where it was not so safe! That was the same as I had discovered on our old Pilote, where the pattern was only within the area bounded by the roof rack. If you can see the same type of markings on your roof, that should tell you where it is, and is not, safe to stand!

There aren't any markings on an Autotrail roof, except for the ones that I have made.

Most Rapidos have textured roofs, the downside is that the texture holds the dirt. When walking on a roof please observe a few points, don't walk anywhere near the roof lights, only walk forwards never backwards, don't use your mobile (distractions can be fatal). If you don't feel confident don't go up there, use a ladder along the sides (with foam lagging over the ends to protect your van)
