had a tooth brush out cleaning all the trim up on the van,,but lots of places where no sealant can i put a white silicone caravan / mh silicone in the joints,, the van is an Autotrail , i just think it will look better,,,,,,OR are the gaps supposed to be there...???????

There probably is sealant underneath the trim, what you see is the sealant that is forced out when it is joined together, so no real point in putting more on.
