Cleaning Fixed Toilet and Grey Waste Tanks in Motorhome (1 Viewer)

Any suggestions for products for giving the on board tanks a good internal clean.
Have tried products from moho accessories stores but feel they are grossly over priced.

Hi SteveandDenise what proportion of soda crystals to water do you actually use for the grey tank? We too feel the Moho accessory stores rip you off. We have tried full fat coke in the tank with some success but keen to have a go with an alternative.

Every now and then I just use a hose with the setting on jet and poke it in the inspection hole leaving the drain tap open.

For the black tank I would use a full box of bio washing powder or capsules and then fill with warm water. Let it stand.

It works in cassettes so should do the same in a fixed tank. Not sure how many you would use though.

A tub of bicarb down the sink now and again helps with the grey tank Do not mix with coke though.

Half a bag of soda crystals bucket of warm water tip down plug holes run round then drain down tank.

I put 2x2ltr bottles of Aldi 17p Coke into an EMPTY tank then set off wherever, the longer trip the better it works.

citric acid crystals and hot water work better than coke. its the same active ingredient and will do no damage

for caked on crud, bio washing powder and hot water left in for 24 hours works wonders
