We've ended up with lots of dark stains on our awning, probably from leaves etc. bring rolled up with it. As anybody got any suggestion for cleaning them off. I've tried sno foam and a jet wash which has improved it slightly.

Apologies up front for not being able to help with cleaning advice, but I’ve stopped looking at mine.
As I use the van all year, it’s nigh on impossible to avoid leaves landing on it and sticking to the wet surface. They’ll dry out and blow away next time the awning is out, or more likely, they’ll wash off in a downpour.

Any staining will eventually fade, or if not, I’ll end up with a naturally camouflaged awning :whistle2:

Rarely used mine on my previous vans but cleaned them with soap powder and a scrubbing brush.
Removed almost all of any staining.

I bought my van from a well-known dealer last year. When I rolled the awning out, I found that half of the fabric was clean the rest was filthy.

I bought some cleaning fluid from one of the shows but I only remember that it needs doing when I am away in the van with no ladders ?

I rather foolishly used a jet wash on my previous roll out awning. It made a hole in it.

Just warm soapy water.. Or if you have some real stubborn marks I use caravan black streak remover. What ever you use make sure it is really well rinsed off !

I used a warm soapy mildly bleach mixture sponged on and brush scrubbed then rolled up and left for an hour then rinsed off with cold water then left out to dry came up nice , :)

i swear by warm water, washing up liquid and a brush as stiff as a nail brush for removing dirt, green verdigris and stains from roll out awnings.
roll the awning out and soak with a hosepipe
scrub stained areas and give the whole canopy a wash with soapy water
wind the awning in still soapy and wait 30 minutes
roll out the awning out again and wash off with a hosepipe
allow to dry before winding in again

they generally then look nearly new again

A mix of mild bio washing powder brush it on and roll the awning in leave for a couple of hours rinse and repeat until like new.
