I'm a newbie
Hi guys. I hope you are all well.
I am planning on cleaning the outside of the motorhome this week but wanted to know if there is a special technique to cleaning the pullout awning. It is a bit smelly, (damp cloth type smell).
It not easy to get ‘right into it’ when it pulled out and up in position.

I thought maybe I could pull it fully out, hang it down , scrub it with soap and water and the rinse with karcher on soft spray.

Any advice. Many thanks in advance.

Chris

Used soap and hot water on ours with a light scrubbing using an extendable brush . Not sure how low you can get it without potentially damaging the support arms , I just put it as low as I though sensible on the telescopic legs and used a step ladder and the brush to reach the middle and rear. Hosed off with cold water and left out to dry in the sun.

I have used biodegradable wet wipes on ours , both sides , came up a treat both times , no idea how it got so dirty as we very rarely use it .

Some say wind it out, soap it up both sides
Wind it back in leave an hour or so and wind out to scrub it then let it dry.

As per #5 post.
I wind the awning out. Apply a weak bleach and washing up liquid solution. Gently scrub the awning and roll it back up.
Leave for an hour, unwind and rinse off.
